TraumaSFX™ Combat X-Plosion Gel is a theatrical simulated mixture of black oily and greasy blood tinged effects, and duplicates a close proximity explosion effect that results in dirty, greasy, black and bloody tinged debris trauma often seen in body injuries from battlefield IED explosions, vehicle, and aircraft crashes.
This realistic looking product drips very slowly and never dries, thus allowing a moist looking effect that delivers the life-like look of a real explosive oily debris trauma. It can be used with other casualty simulation effects and prosthetic appliances to depict greasy burns, necrotic tissue decay, and occurring gangrenous effects in wound simulation.
It’s very easy to apply with different textured sponges, streaked on with a spatula, or painted on with brushes, and a little bit goes a long way. A must have staple for every moulage or SFX casualty simulation kit!

TraumaSFX™ Combat X-Plosion” Gel is made with FDA approved cosmetic grade ingredients and uniquely formulated to deliver the life-like look of oily black grime with a trace of blood, as seen in a body trauma typically caused by a crash or blast/explosion. Apply it directly on skin, prosthetic appliances, or patient simulators manikins with fantastic, highly believable results.
This gel-like product is safe for human skin and hair, and non-porous surfaces and props. It has a blackish color with a very slight reddish undertone, and with a slow dripping movement that won’t dry out. The results give a realistic wet looking effect for a very shocking and believable black and greasy appearance to all kinds of explosive debris injury simulations.
TraumaSkin FX™ Combat X-Plosion Gel can be easily sponged or smeared on wherever you need it, such as the face, neck, arms, even around the ears. It can also be applied to clothing, props, or spattered in the scene for continuity in the overall look. A little bit goes a long way, so don’t over-do the application.
You can give it a darker or dryer looking textured look by lightly brushing over with a cosmetic soot powder or dirt, such as Graftobian’s Special FX Powder in Black Soot. You can also redden it a bit more by lightly brushing it over with Graftobian FX Blood Powder, or deepen the red color by mixing in a bit of Graftobian Blood Paste. It’s ideal to use with Graftobian Modeling Wax wound renderings when you need fast and easy dirty/bloody wound effects. It works great in tandem with any simulated fresh bleeding injuries too.
TraumaSkin FX™ Combat X-Plosion Gel easily removes from skin with soap and water or Graftobian Makeup Remover. May possibly stain clothing, and other porous items it’s applied to, so test first before use.
