TraumaSFX™ Viscous Scab Blood is a superior simulated blood creation that is uniquely designed to mimic the characteristics of thicker congealing or coagulated human blood in an open injury.
This product is completely different from other theatrical blood pastes and gel brands commonly used because of its unique globular, slightly stringy material that realistically looks and behaves like congealing clotting blood. It’s as close to the real thing as you can get in color, texture and performance.
It’s easy to apply and work with, and it won’t move, slip, or slide once it’s in place. It can be applied with a cotton swab, toothpick, spatula, and other types of applicators for precise placement where you want it. It can also be moved around, re-positioned, or simply picked up and re-applied on a different area without separating or falling apart.
It never dries out or hardens and always remains moist the way real human congealing blood behaves. SFX and moulage artists love this product for bleeding injury simulations because of its extreme realism in the clotting, congealing or scabbed looking effect.

TraumaSFX™ Viscous Scab Blood is densely pigmented with a stringy, blobbed, and clot-like consistency out of the jar, just like real congealing blood. It looks, acts, and feels to the touch the way real human blood behaves in simulating realistic looking thick bloody ooze, from a fresh open injury to a clotted aged blood in a scabbing wound.
Made with cosmetic grade ingredients, it can be applied directly on skin and safely near the mouth, nose, ears, and near the eye region. It perfect to use on prosthetic appliances and clothing to give that truly realistic look of globby, coagulated and slightly stringed blood look in any open injury simulation. It can also be used on props and scenery too!
Viscous Scab Blood always stays in place where it’s applied, as long as it is not exposed to excess friction and rub. It wont drip or run, whether placed on human skin or patient simulators. It sets up nicely and never becomes completely dry so it always remains movable. It’s non-toxic and non-staining to skin, although a patch test is always recommended if using it on clothing .
To create more of a scabbed-over wound result, simply apply a dusting of Graftobian Special FX Powder in Texas Dirt directly over the Viscous Scab Blood placement. It works well with other blood products when you need a bleeding effect along with the congealing or scabbing look.
