The TraumaSFX™ Moulage Fluid Pump Assembly is designed to hold liquid simulated body fluids such as theatrical bloods in a sturdy sealable bag fitted with a generous length of tubing. The tube is actuated by a hand pump to simulate active wound bleeding in moulaged injury simulations.
The Moulage Fluid Pump Assembly is a complete operating unit that contains the bag reservoir, tubing length, clamp, and hand pump device. The tubing can be easily rigged to all kinds of injury simulations, such as wound appliances and prosthetic body part applications to simulate bleeding, or the flowing or dripping of other body fluids such as urine, lymphatic, serous, etc.

The TraumaSFX™ Fluid Pump Assembly is comes complete with all parts and ready to use. Simply attach the tubing end to your injury simulation appliance or body part prosthetic where desired. Make sure the clamp is closed on the tubing first, and then fill the reservoir with the desired liquid to create a flowing fluid or dripping/oozing effect. The reservoir holds approximately 8.8 fluid oz. of liquid. The bag and tubing are made of vinyl, so it is compatible for use with all kinds of SFX prosthetic materials. It’s ideal to use with human patient manikin simulator fluid tubes and easily hooks up to their extension lines.
The amount of the tube’s fluid flow is controlled by hand using the cylindrical hand pump. Each squeeze on the pump will spurt out an amount of liquid, depending on the pressure applied. The hand pumping sequence can also be simulated as a heartbeat contraction that would be consistent with the hemorrhage of a body part, such as a leg or arm amputation. Works perfectly with pre-made appliances simply by creating an insertion to thread in tubing. It can be temporarily held in place with a bit of Graftobian Modeling Wax. Tubing can be easily worked into the process of manufacturing appliances too.
Note: If using theatrical blood, make sure it is the thinner consistency flowing blood that is suitable for tubing, or is thinned down enough to move realistically through and out the tubing. Most water/syrup based bloods can be thinned down suitably to flow realistically through the tube. Blood colored powders can also be pre-mixed with Graftobian Liquid Pain and Sorrow Glycerin to form a paste, and then mixed with water to form a thin, pumpable blood solution. It is important to wash/rinse the bag and tubing completely after use to prevent heavy staining and product build-up.
