The GF Exit Wound Small Appliance is a true-to-real injury design with attention to detail that delivers accurate wound simulation without a complex application process. It’s exceptional realism and durability in wear is designed to blend imperceptibly on skin. It conveys as a fully believable trauma with natural skin movement in long-wearing results.
It’s made with a medical-grade adhesive that makes it completely safe and non-toxic to skin in wear. It’s super thin edges blend off easily with TraumaSFX™ 99% Alcohol Activator for seamless results on skin. It’s ideal for all SFX and moulage makeup needs where high realism, consistency, and durability are critical to successful outcomes.
It’s an easy and fast process, similar to a water-applied temporary tattoo decal. Simply peel the appliance off the protective cardboard and press it face down onto the water-slide transfer paper. Then, gently peel the acetate paper off the back of it and position and press it firmly onto the desired skin area. Saturate the paper backing with water until it begins to slide off, and gently peel remaining paper away. That’s it!
Once attached and dry on skin, it forms an immovable, waterproof bond that won’t lift, shift, rub off, or separate during wear. The appliance stays firmly and securely in place all-day long and under all kinds of body movements. It won’t fall off during interactions with it such as bleeding effects, bandaging, etc.
It’s safer to use than latex appliances and the ideal alternative to more expensive silicone prosthetics, and provides better hyper-fidelity realism results. It delivers reliability and continuity in all-day wear with no repairs or refits. Powder it with Graftobian Silica Blotting and Finishing Powder or TraumaSFX™ Liquid Powder Shine Eliminator to remove any tackiness and visual shine. When done with use, remove and lift it off with a generous amount of Graftobian Pro Adhesive Remover.
TraumaSFX™ GF Exit Wound Small Appliance is also excellent to use on human patient simulator manikins and safely adheres well to them using a small amount of compatible prosthetic adhesive, such as Graftobian Pro Adhesive. The appliance package comes complete with the transfer appliance on clear acetate paper, water transfer paper, and full instructions.
If desired, the appliance can be colored with additional makeup, such as Graftobian Pro F/X Rubber Mask Grease (RMG) or the TraumaSFX™ Casualty Simulation Paint Box Palette to enhance redness, bruising, and other skin disfiguring effects. It can also be finished with a makeup sealer, such as Graftobian Makeup Setting Spray if desired, for extra durability in surface wear.
For a more professional and longer wearing adhesion that will stay on for more than a day, use Graftobian Pro Adhesive applied and dried on skin first before applying the prosthetic to ensure longevity in wear.
