Graftobian Pro Adhesive is a very strong medical-grade adhesive for securing prosthetic appliances to skin with durable long-wearing adhesion. The milky-white acrylic emulsion dries completely clear with a solid bond.
It’s the professional SFX artist’s choice to use for gluing down latex, foam latex, gelatin, silicone, prosthetic transfers, and other types of appliance materials. Once dry it stays put, and is completely flexible in wear with the appliance for realistic movement results.
This non-toxic, non-allergenic adhesive contains no rubber based (latex) components so it is gentle and safe to wear on all skin types, including sensitive skin without irritation. Once cured in place with a firm contact with skin the adhesion is waterproof and rub-proof, and sweat-proof.

Graftobian Pro Adhesive is a professionally formulated water-based adhesive that provides a strong-wearing adhesion bond in a prosthetic appliance application. It’s the glue of choice over traditional resin adhesives (spirit gum) and other types when you need durability with long-wear and natural looking flexibility. This is an excellent contact style adhesive – applied to both the appliance and skin and then pressed together – that dries completely clear, and won’t irritate skin.
Pro Adhesive is used in many major films, TV and, stage productions because of the high quality, long-wearing dependability and versatility it delivers. It can also be thinned with distilled water while in its liquid state if desired. It can also blended with Graftobian Translucent Pro Powder to create a thick acrylic paste for to use building up appliances, blending edges, as a ridge filler, or as an ingredient in making prosthetic transfer material. It can also be mixed with cosmetic grade pigments or acrylic paints to create a budge-proof and waterproof skin and appliance makeup medium, known as PAX Paint.
To use: with a brush or cotton swab apply a thin, even layer of Pro Adhesive onto the skin where the prosthetic will be placed. Next, brush on a thin even layer on the back/inside of the appliance piece and its edges that corresponds to the skin layer. The adhesive will NOT stick while wet, so it must dry first until it becomes tacky, and crystal clear with a shiny texture. Then press both adhesive surfaces firmly together until a strong bond is achieved.
Skin warmth increases the strength and bond of the adhesion contact between the skin and appliance, so continue to press and smooth down, and out to the edges of the appliance. Powder the appliance and edges to remove any remaining surface shine from the adhesive. Any unwanted dried adhesive remnants can be easily blended off the appliance edge and skin with 99% alcohol.
Once adhesive is dry on the appliance side be careful not to let the appliance fold over onto itself before you apply it to skin, as the adhesive is VERY sticky and will bond to itself! It can be virtually impossible to get the fold unstuck without using an adhesive remover. Keep in mind that once the two surfaces are pressed together in contact with each other they cannot be repositioned!
To remove the appliance use Graftobian Pro Adhesive Remover which is specially designed to quickly detach the adhesive bond and help remove any adhesive residue from skin and the appliance. You can also use a makeup remover to cleanse skin of any remaining residue.
