TraumaSFX™ Combat Distress Mud is a cosmetic grade product that gives the look and texture of real mud filth and grime. It can be used in the hair, on skin or clothing and prosthetic appliances to give that dried up muddy-looking dirty look. It dries down to very realistic looking mud effect and it’s versatile in use for all kinds of scenarios that call for subtle or more textured dirty results.
Created especially for casualty simulation use, Combat Distress Mud is the go to product for that added muddy grimy look to any trauma simulation setting. It’s ideal to use as a distressed finishing touch that calls for caked-on or ground in dirt, even death-looking decay.

TraumaSFX™ Combat Distress Mud is an easy to use gel-based product made from natural materials so it is completely harmless to skin, hair, and clothing. It applies quickly out of the jar to be smeared, rubbed, dabbed, or glopped on the hair, face, arms, and legs and dries to a highly realistic caked-on dirty appearance. It can be smeared onto to clothing, prosthetic appliances, even stage props and scenery for great looking filth effects to your casualty simulation injury portrayals and scenarios.
Apply Combat Distress Mud thinly for just a touch of a dirty effect, or apply it thickly for a heavier caked on look, or build it up in dried layers. It can be used with any other spray-on or brushed-on dirt type products to greatly enhance and intensify the end result. Brush an application of soot or ash powder to give added depth, texture, and caked-on realism. Give a light brushing of blood powder over the mud application to give it more of a dirty bloody-looking effect; and sprayed with a bit of water it will create an oozing dirty blood-like look.
NOTE: Keep lid tightly closed between use to prevent product from drying out in container. Washes off completely with soap and water. Keep away from heat, and store in a cool dry place. Avoid placing directly inside the eyes, nose, ears and mouth.
