TraumaSFX™ Color Makeup Spray is an intensely pigmented hair and body spray color that delivers controlled, streak-free color placement and long lasting coverage where you need it. Made with FDA approved pigments, these concentrated colors deliver a smooth color payoff with no wet, drippy, or runny texture results.
The temporary color has buildable intensity that covers quickly and evenly with mess-free opacity. They are excellent for use in all kinds of makeup special effects and casualty simulation moulage where you need a quick and easy precise placement of injury finishing color, and no time to apply makeup or use an airbrush.
TraumaSFX™ Color Makeup Spray is buildable “spray can” color that can be used alone or in conjunction with other makeup mediums, such as water-activated cake makeups, creme makeup, rubber mask grease paints, alcohol activated ink palettes, etc. It delivers airbrush-like results, and it’s also a quick and easy application for stencil work too.
Use it to dress out all kinds of special makeup effects on the face and body with smooth and even opaque color results that wears well on animal, human and patient simulator manikin skin. Color Makeup Spray is water resistant, buildable color intensity with repeated layers; or different colors can be spray layered over each other for customized results.
TraumaSFX™ Color Makeup Spray options for SFX and moulage use:
Red: it’s the perfect tone for sunburn and irritated skin when sprayed lightly. Sprayed in layers it’s great to use as a deep blood color base for liquid, gel, or paste blood applications over it. NOTE: It is recommended that red be removed from manikin skin immediately after use to avoid any possible red “halo” effect residue often seen with red colorant products.
Brown: a soil, dirt, and debris color that can be used as a base for dirt powders or muddy versions of dirt applications, such as Graftobian Texas Dirt Powder, TraumaSFX™ Grime and Grunge Spray or Combat Distress Muds. It can be layered with the Black Color Makeup Spray for more customized variations.
Black: this is ideal for burnt, charred, and soot debris trauma effects. Use it as a simulated explosion after-effects blown on the face, clothing and background props. It’s perfect to use for dirty, sooty-looking skin and hair, or to simulate burned clothing. It can be layered with Brown Spray Makeup for more customized variations too.
Grey: is useful in for subtle graying out skin color for overall pallor, ashen, or shock looks. It’s also great for graying out prosthetic bowel evisceration appliances for realistic effects. Or, use it to heavily ashen or gray out hair, body, even clothing and props if the scene calls for it.
To use: shake can well and spray from a distance of 10-12’’ onto the hair or body for the smoothest and most even application, using a layering back and forth motion. To prevent clogging and to insure a smooth and even application, it is suggested to clear the spray stream after use by inverting the can upside down and spraying a short burst. Then clean nozzle with alcohol on a cotton swab.
TraumaSFX™ Spray Makeup washes out easily from hair with shampoo and warm water, or washes off face and body with soap and warm water. It easily removes from manikin skin with alcohol or any other general cleaner.
WARNING: FLAMMABLE! can contents under pressure. Spray in a well-ventilated area. Recommend a skin patch test first to determine any sensitivity. Use a skin barrier product such as Graftobian Makeup Setting Spray, Mixing and Lining Liquid, or TraumaSFX™ PVA Liquid Medium to protect sensitive skin if needed. If a rash or redness develops during or after a patch testing discontinue use of the product. DO NOT use this product in the eye, mouth, or nose areas. Contains fragrance.
